At AUC we aim to promote volunteering opportunities in our church community locally and nationally and in the wider Edinburgh community.
Sunday Volunteers
Every 2 – 3 months our Rota Coordinator creates a rota to cover the tasks to enable our Sunday worship service. These include Caretakers, Door Stewards, Fire officer, Readers, Communion Stewards, Creche helpers, Coffee Stewards.

AUC organisation volunteers
To exist as an organisation we are grateful for those who volunteer as the treasurer, church secretary, junior church leaders, pastoral visitors, president, elders, property managers, staff managers, working group members. Most of these roles are renewed every 3 years and are vital to the organisational existence of AUC. URC Volunteers
Also vital to the organisation of the URC, both part of the Synod of Scotland and the UK wide Church, are volunteers who serve on the working groups, be it Church & Society, Pastoral, Church Life, Mission and Ecumenical, to name but a few. Edinburgh Community
Greyfriars Community Project, Fresh Start, the Verandah Club all depend on volunteers. If you are interested to learn more about volunteering opportunities in our local community please contact Della.
Hire a room
AUC has a number of rooms available for rent on a sessional basis, morning, after-noon or evening.
