Sunday 1st November – returning to physical worship in the building
We’re delighted that on 1st November we are able to offer limited and pre-booked spaces for people to join AUC worship from within the building. A lot of thought has gone into how to make the experience as safe as possible and we’ve drawn up some additional information and a code of conduct which we’re asking everyone to abide by. You can download a copy here.
Pre-booking for the service is essential. Our Centre Manager (Rachel Fitzgerald) will send an Eventbrite link to everyone on our mailing list on the Tuesday before the Sunday in question and bookings must be made by 3pm on the Friday before. If you’d like to sign up to receive this link, please email Rachel on email@example.com
The service on the 1st November will also be streamed live online through Zoom and Facebook. See below for more information about accessing our services online.
At present, we’re not sure how frequently we’ll be able to offer physical worship in the building, though we are absolutely committed to continuing to offer online worship every week. Check back here for updates on future physical worship services.
Since the 15th March 2020, Augustine United Church has been celebrating worship online. These platforms have allowed us to get together as a community every Sunday morning despite being in different locations in Edinburgh and across the world. Our services are streamed live across both platforms from 10:50 am and are then available to watch on-demand on our Facebook Page. Services from within the last three months can be accessed using the respective links at the bottom of the page. The most recent service is also available to watch below.
A few days before the service, a printable order of service and Junior Church Activity sheet will be available to download from the links below. Following the service, we have a Post-Service Social Time which is held over Zoom and everyone is welcome to attend.
If you would like more information about how to access the service or the Post-Service Social Time, please either send us a private message on our Facebook Page or contact us via the details on the Contact Us page. You can also subscribe to our weekly newsletter, which contains the links to the service and Post-Service Social Time as well as information about other online events which we host during the week. To do this, please send Rachel Fitzgerald an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

This Sunday our worship looks a little different as we celebrate our ecumenical partnership and worship together as an extended community. Greyfriars Kirk are leading the service and everything is taking place online.
