Learning resources from the URC

The Nicene Creed re visited

The Nicene Creed is one of the oldest expressions of the Christian Faith, used ecumenically by Christians across the world. 2025 marked its 1700th anniversary. In an excellent lecture for the URC History Society, Rev Dr Susan Durber (President of the World Council of Churches from Europe, a URC Minister and one of the Editors of the URC Prayer Handbook) revisits the story and content of the creed exploring how it can still speaks to us today. You can watch the lecture here.

The URC Digital Ministry offers Daily readings and reflections for each day written by people from across the URC and beyond, and other resources for Biblical, theological and spiritual reflection for group and individual use.
