Hello and welcome to the Augustine United Church website.
We are an active, inclusive Christian community based in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. At AUC we celebrate the Christian Story, welcome and affirm people of all races, genders, sexualities, ages, faiths and abilities and work to promote justice and wellbeing locally and globally. We come together to worship and to make a difference.
Whilst our physical congregational activity within AUC is still suspended, our Sunday services are streamed live at 11am over Zoom and Facebook. Details on how to take part in our online worship can be found on the Sunday Worship page.

Attendees are invited to bring a photograph or object which reminds them of the person whom they grieve.

Remembering Space is held quarterly for those who want to attend in future.
Learn more about the bible with us in our weekly Contextual Bible Study! 📖
In these sessions, small groups discuss a short Bible passage, sometimes one that will be used in an upcoming Sunday worship service.
Why ‘contextual’? This method of reading the Bible was developed in South Africa. It seeks to understand a passage in its original context and to find resonance with our current context, listening for what wisdom the passage might offer today. 💭
Contextual Bible Studies take place online each week on Wednesdays at 7.30pm and Thursdays at 12 noon for one hour.
No previous Bible knowledge is required, and all are welcome! 🤗
