Join us at AUC for a weekend of discovery, reflection, and celebration. This year’s theme—“Architectural Heritage: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future”— invites you to explore how AUC’s historic building continues to evolve with its community.
Since its construction in 1861, AUC has stood as a striking landmark on George IV Bridge. While its exterior remains largely unchanged, preserving the character of its era, the interior tells a dynamic story of transformation. Over the decades, the space has been reimagined to reflect changing patterns of worship, improved accessibility, and a growing civic role—documented through heritage records and interpretive displays.
On Saturday, we’ll be joined by charity partners and building hirers who help shape AUC’s present-day impact. You’ll also find resources on our engagement with the legacies of slavery, and discover our Urban Pilgrimages project—an ongoing exploration of justice themes including women’s rights, environmental care, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and wellbeing in the city around us.
Whether you’re drawn by history, community, or curiosity, we’d love to welcome you through our doors.
